With its ancient castle behind and is within The Yorkshire Dales.
We have four lovely letting rooms, three with baths as well as shower and all are en-suite.
Richard the third is very similar to The Bay with writing on the walls, all our racing memorabilia, and the atmosphere that we created at the bay has followed us to Middleham.
There are four downstairs rooms at Richard the third, two front rooms, a cosy snug and a seperate dining area for private parties or functions.
We are still doing the same menu with our famous homemade pies and large gammons.
Only 8 miles further than Masham, Middleham is lovely and to wake up each morning with the views over Wensleydale and the horses going up to the gallops is amazing.

Richard the third is warm, welcoming and friendly, serving delicious homemade food and homemade chips! All our food is cooked to order so we do ask for our customers to be patient especially during busy times. We try to source our food as locally as possible and using local butchers as much as we can. We serve food everyday – on a lunch time and evening and ALL DAY on a saturday and Sunday. On Sundays we have tradional Roasts with homemade Yorkshire Pudding - delicious! We also have seasonal special dishes – such as pheasant, Warm Pigeon Salad and Rabbit Pie!

Our two bars offer comfortable seating, with lovely fires to welcome you on a cold winters day, traditional wooden and stone floors and a cosy atmosphere. We have a choice of real cask ales, two of which are from our two local breweries, Black Sheep and Theakstons. Free WIFI available too
